Episode 08: “Building a More Effective Training Program” feat. Chad Aichs (Pt2)

In this episode I interviewed All-Time Great Powerlifter Chad Aichs for another episode – Him and I have actually been talking quite a bit since our last episode, where we discussed our mental health issues and history (a really good/intense episode if you haven’t listened to it yet) – Chad recently picked up Jim Wendler’s 5/3/1 Book and has been looking at making some changes to his training, and wanted to chat on the phone about some ideas this weekend; so I figured, “hey, let’s record it and throw it up as a Podcast”. It was a great conversation, and I took away a ton from it – I think you will too! In addition to talking training and programming, we talked about common mistakes Chad sees people make in meets and taking on heavy weights on the platform.. Enjoy!

About the Guest:

Chad is a World class powerlifter with best competition lifts of 1173lb squat, 821 bench, 755 deadlift, and 2733 total.  Breaker of multiple world records and winner of multiple championships.  When his best lifts where performed they where some of the highest of all time.  Also competitor in the Scottish Highland games.
